The Mephisto Sano Excess is built on a "Rocker Botton" outersole which reduces toe break and fatigue in the forefoot. The outersoles offer more compression and shock absorption than any style of shoe we have put out. This greatly reduces impact on the Feet, Joints, Hips and Lower Back. It is a spectacular fitness walking shoe and because of it's unique characteristics tones the buttocks, thighs and calf muscles. If you stand all day, travel or have issues with the above mentioned, this is a must have shoe. The Excess tends to run a bit on the small side, You may consider going up a half size.
